Presenting the Class of 2024!

This past weekend marked a bittersweet milestone as we celebrated the graduation ceremony for our English students in Honduras. These remarkable young individuals completed the ninth grade, the highest grade offered at the village school. And we are so proud of their achievement!

What makes this triumph even more special is that these students have overcome significant odds to reach this point. In our community, many children do not attend school past the 6th grade, making this graduation a victory to be celebrated. Some of our graduates are even planning to continue their education by commuting to the city to complete high school, showcasing their determination to pursue their dreams.

As we sat at the head table, honored as class sponsors, we reflected on the journey these students have taken. Being a part of their lives has been a rewarding experience. Watching them grow, both academically and personally, has filled our hearts with joy. Handing out diplomas to our students was a moment we will cherish forever. Each diploma represented hard work, perseverance, and the bright futures that lie ahead for these graduates.

While we are excited for what comes next for them, it is hard not to feel a sense of loss. As we look back on these past years, we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing class.
