Honduras Field Journal Day 1
Thursday, October 1, 2026
Well we made it. Thanks for praying this last week for us. Your prayers were received.
We are fully funded - Praise the God that provides all our needs
We are all healthy - Praise the God who gives us each breath
We arrived safely - Praise the God who goes before us
The day started very early in the morning. We met up at the airport (some of us a little late) and were able to get 14 bags checked, through security and to the gate just in time. Flight to Miami was overall smooth. And flight to Honduras was on time.
We then headed Siguatepeque where we all got to stand in the center of all the Americas (North, Central, South) - picture of our feet. This was a quick stop since we still had a 2 hour trip up the mountains to La Esperanza. We settled into our home for the week. It was a long day and everyone is tired and headed to bed.
Prayer needs:
A few of us are feeling queasy, mostly from turbulence.
To get settled in, good sleep and rest.
Connections with the Honduran team and the Solheims
Friday is the volunteer seminar. Pray for clear teaching and team unity.
