This season has brought some big transitions to our team, and we want to share them with you in the same spirit we feel them: grateful for the past, hopeful for the future and confident that God is guiding every step.
After several years of faithful service, Sandra has stepped down from her role as our volunteer coordinator. She poured so much love and energy into building our volunteer network, and we’re deeply thankful for the way she helped shape our ministries. Her steady leadership blessed our entire ministry, and we are praying God’s best for her as she moves into a new chapter.

In the middle of this change, we found ourselves needing someone who could step in and lead Club Aslan with skill and heart, especially while Steve and I are in the U.S. for fundraising. We’re excited to share that Karla has joined our team during this season to serve as the Club Aslan coordinator. She’s volunteered with us for years, and she brings creativity, joy and a natural ability to connect with our kids. Karla understands the heartbeat of Club Aslan, and we couldn’t be more thankful to have her step into this role.

As we settle into this transition, we’re also taking time to pray and think carefully about the long-term future of our volunteer program. Growing a healthy volunteer network takes intentionality, and we want to continue building a team that feels supported and equipped to serve well. This season is giving us the chance to evaluate our structure, listen to our volunteers and dream about ways to strengthen and expand this ministry.
Even though change can be challenging, we’re stepping forward with excitement. God is clearly at work, opening new doors and providing the right people at the right time. We’re grateful for Sandra. We’re thrilled to welcome Karla. And we’re hopeful for the road ahead as we keep investing in the volunteers who make our ministry possible.
