At Club Aslan, we're always looking for new and exciting ways to engage our youth and share God's Truth with them. One of the ways we do this is by introducing new games and activities to our program. And this summer, we've added a new game that's sure to be a hit: Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza!
We use the money collected from our little snack store to purchase new materials for Club Aslan. Since the money belongs to the Club and its members, we have a vote every time we make a trip to the U.S. on which new game/material to bring back. For this summer's trip, the Club Aslan members chose Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, a fun card game that we were able to buy in Spanish on Amazon.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is a fast-paced and silly game that's perfect for our Club Aslan youth. The game is all about quick reflexes and staying focused, even when your brain is trying to trick you. Players take turns laying down cards while chanting "Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza" in rhythm with the cards being laid down. When the word everyone is saying matches up with the card that has been laid down, everyone races to slap the card pile in the center. The last one to slap it has to take all the cards.
But that's not all! There are also special cards sprinkled throughout the deck, like Gorilla, Groundhog, and Narwhal. When these cards turn up, players have to do a special gesture before slapping the pile . For example, if a Narwhal card comes up, everyone has to make a horn on their head with their hands before slapping the pile. It's a hilarious and active game that's sure to get everyone laughing and moving.
We just played Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza in the Club for the first time this week, and it was a huge success. The kids had a blast trying to keep up with the chanting and slapping, and the special cards added an extra level of silliness and fun. We can't wait to play it again and see who can be the first to get rid of all their cards and win the game.
