Leadership Born of Service

The desire to serve others is born when the heart has been transformed by the love of Jesus. This is precisely what we are seeing flourish in the volunteers who are part of the Aslan Club. Our training program is bearing visible fruit, and today we want to share with you a clear example of this.

Every week, volunteers accompany Team Solheim at club meetings, not just as observers, but as active learners. They are trained in implementing the plan, learn to build healthy relationships with young people, and embrace a leadership model based on respect, trust, love for one's neighbor, and good fun. As these relationships strengthen, we pray that the Lord will give them wisdom, vision, and character to spiritually guide the next generation. And God is responding!

This August, Team Solheim spent two weekends away from La Esperanza, participating in a missionary retreat. It was an excellent opportunity to test the fruit of this process. What happened was a source of joy: our volunteers took the initiative and led the Aslan Club meetings with excellence. They faithfully implemented the plan, adding their personal touch to each activity, maintained a positive atmosphere, and guided the youth with maturity, enthusiasm, and a deep sense of mission.

This achievement confirms that the training program is fulfilling its purpose: to raise up local leaders, strong in the faith, capable of continuing the work even in the absence of the missionary team. This is exactly what we dream of when we think about sustainability and multiplication of the Kingdom in this community.

For Team Solheim, every volunteer is an answer to our prayers and a seed of hope for the future of Club Aslan.
