Back to School and Back to English Class

This month marked the first day of school for many of our students, and with that came the excitement of starting our English classes once again! It was such a joy to see all their smiling faces light up when they saw us walk through the door. They were eager and ready to learn, and their enthusiasm was contagious.

One of the things the kids really look forward to is the chance to step out of their regular classroom and join us twice a week for English. It’s like a little adventure for them—new room, new teacher, and new words to discover!

For our first lessons, we started learning about the things they see every day in their own classroom. To make it fun (and to help them burn off some energy!), we played an active game where I would call out an item like “door,” “window,” “desk,” or “chair,” and the students would jump up and run to touch that object. There was so much laughter and excitement as they raced around the room. They picked up the new words so quickly!

Afterward, we returned to our seats, and they got to draw pictures of the classroom objects they had just learned. Then, they carefully wrote the English words in their folders.

Please keep these students in your prayers. Pray that their excitement for learning will continue to grow and that they will remain eager to explore new things, not just in English but in every area of their lives!
