Meet Our Volunteer, Vivian Vásquez

“Serving seems simple, but I have realized that it is a calling that requires perseverance, humility and true dedication,” says Vivian.
“Serving seems simple, but I have realized that it is a calling that requires perseverance, humility and true dedication,” says Vivian.

This year, the Aslan Club warmly welcomed a new volunteer: Vivian Vásquez. When she began this new chapter, she was at a point of pause in her life; she had finished her university studies but wasn't yet working. She shared that she wasn't very interested in socializing and that her world felt somewhat stagnant.

However, everything began to change when she joined the volunteer program. Through the Aslan Club's activities, she began to open herself up to connecting with others again. "Volunteering has helped me to meet new people, and I have had the opportunity to learn new things through new experiences by serving in the activities of Club Aslan," she shares.

Little by little, Vivian allowed herself to get to know and share with the club's young members and her fellow volunteers. Each experience, each conversation and each smile became a spark that ignited a new desire within her to learn and serve.

Recently, Vivian has become actively involved in the Lucy’s Libros program, where she has developed a true passion for reading, communication and design. This project has allowed her to explore new forms of expression and connect with her more imaginative side.

Today, Vivian enthusiastically shares that through volunteering she has found a new purpose. The Club Aslan and Lucy's Libros not only gave her the opportunity to serve, but also to rediscover herself, to believe once again in the power of human relationships and in the impact a person can have when they decide to give their best.
